Little needles and such...
My back has been hurting right around the kidney area on one side for quite a while now. Some days it's worse than others, but it's always there, to a certain extent. Not content with living with it anymore, I decided to try my chances at chinese (cheap) medicine.
I went and got acupuncture for first time yesterday. Agnes, my boss helped me out and brought me to the clinic and translated for me. They talked, I stared and Agnes translated things as they went through the whole procedure. Funny thing is...they start out with an ultrasound....which hurt like a bitch. I think it was to locate exactly which area hurt. Well...they definitely found it! Then they needle you a little with some sort of gun and put these suction things on you to draw the blood to the surface. Sounds kinda gross, but I didn't actually see anything, as I was laying on my stomach the whole time. The actual acupuncture part though didn't hurt hardly at all. My back is definitely more sore now, but they did say that's normal though. I have to go in more times, but the good news is it's cheap and it's way better than a real doctor. Here's to Chinese medicine, as long as it helps!
